PCCC Multi RBL

How does it Work?

We try and only add domains to the PCCC Multi RBL when the evidence is overwhelming and points to a culture or architecture prone to spaminess. This can include services that have legitimate and illegitimate users; servers for legitimate firms that are compromised; and hosting firms which fail to have adequate anti-spam procedures.

How to use it with Apache SpamAssassin?

The lists have high scores which we believe are consistent with the veracity of the research used to compile the lists.

Additionally, we ONLY use this RBL to improve our scoring and it is not used to block emails outright. However, your mileage may very and you might want to seriously dial down the scores especially if you do block/reject/blackhole emails.

To implement the PCCC RBL with Apache SpamAssassin, use the RBL rules as defined in KAM.cf.

Testpoints

You can use a testpoint by adding “.multi.pccc.com”. For instance, badbadbadbadbadspammer.com.multi.pccc.com. For bad freemail, hash the address with MD5 first.
